While made up of solid wood, the sides of Slab’s tabletop have a delicate shape and buoyancy and give a modern and light impression.
The timber chopped and brought down from the mountains is processed into furniture after being dried for a few years. In the process of becoming furniture, 60% of the mass of a single tree’s wood is lost.
To reduce that loss of timber at our factory, we started our own sawmill that processes it to become the thickness suited for each piece of furniture. We endeavored to create a design that makes the most use of the limited timber.
