Wall desk

This wallmounted desktop is a brandnew piece of clever home office furniture. It only takes little space when closed, so it is very useful also in smaller houses. But by opening the cover, it is transformed into a workplace for your office activities. After using it there is no disadvantage to close it up again, because it has a beautiful patttern on its surface. The object itself functions as a kind of painting.

The desk combines cnc cutting with cnc laser technique but also manual labor. The parts are computer navigated cut with a cnc router and then placed into a cnc lasermachine to engrave the pattern. Back in the workshop the pieces are glued together and combined into a working useful object.

The wall desk contains a smart wooden hinge and wooden arms and it closes smoothly with the use of hidden magnets. The piece is designed as a subtle, quiet object though its hidden inner structure is clever and complex.

With the use of 4 different adjustable boxes you can easily transform this wall desk into your personal home office desktop. In the floor panel there is a opening for electricity cables and a 3-way socket can be hidden in one of the boxes.
