Concept
BLACK MATTER is a new luxury collection of lighting by Studio Marc Schulthess produced by Untitled Story. It draws its inspiration from the dark matter, which is an unidentified type of matter making 27% of the universe. The range of lighting play with the contrast between visible and invisible, between the intangible visible light and the structure of the lamp. It also draw its inspiration from space exploration vehicle. The lamps are finished with an exclusive black oxide patina or anodized aluminum which both have a very specific way of interacting with their surrounding. It also use material such as brass and leather. The ceiling and wall mount have been designed in a new way that reinvent the traditional circular ceiling roses.
