Lever handles from Valli&Valli
Product description
Concept
The year 2014 marks the 80th anniversary of Valli&Valli/ASSA ABLOY Italia: a major event that the Renate-based company wants to celebrate with roots that dig solidly into history, yet looking at the future.
This is why they decided to make room for two young associates, entrusting them with the task of designing two new handles for the Fusital collection, which has always involved internationally-known architects and designers, since it was created back in 1976.
A way to rightly acknowledge the efforts of those who work at the company on a daily basis with dedication and humbleness, working side by side with major designers and who, behind the scenes, manage to solve technical problems and deal with adaptations, adjustments in dimension, proportion and weights to make each and every Fusital handle a timeless design jewel.
Bassorilievo is the modern interpretation of the vision of a handle as a sculpture: the same vision that, eighty years ago, led Pasquale Valli to turn into a precious stylish sculpture an object, that at the time was reduced to a simple functional tool used to open or close a door.
A vision that originates in Renaissance culture, when handles were considered an important decorative element and represented a high status symbol.
Bas-relief as an art technique dates back to the Mesopotamian times, and reached its figurative apex with Classic art, Greek first and then Roman, to then become during the Renaissance period the main item of decoration for interior furnishings as well.
Marco Triaca, designer with oneiric visions and very sensitive to Deco styles and trends, wanted to celebrate the bas-relief technique in a sober yet attractive handle that offers unlimited customization possibilities in terms of finishes thanks to the two-piece die cast (one for the handle and one for the sculpture-element). A outright furnishing item between tradition and modernity, dedicated to those who love the neoclassical style and the elegance of the past.
Available in the following finishes: bronzsat, grey (light and dark), grey light or dark/with insert in grey and gold and white mat.
The Bassorilievo H 375 Series consists of:
- Door handle with 50-mm square rose, material: brass

- 50-mm standard key hole escutcheon
