Concept
VIVESXTRA
Banking on an innovative product full of character, VIVES Azulejos y Gres launches a new 20 mm. thick porcelain tile of excellent qualities, produced in the versatile 60x60 cm rectified format that allows the designer or the architect to create integrated surfaces throughout open spaces.
Without renouncing to the restrictions of design or style, this new collection is inspired by the most requested aesthetics that emulate the sobriety and neutrality of contemporary cement with the Nassau porcelain tile series and the natural elegance of the Ceppo di Gre stone (in grey and cement) in
order for it to be transmitted in a thicker product. Thus, this new range of ceramic products brings continuity to the space allowing original combinations between the interior and exterior areas.
Thanks to its technical qualities and its greater thickness, VIVESXtra guarantees unbeatable durability and resistance (chemical, flexural, wear and also scratch resistance) much greater than the usual thickness outdoor tiles, keeping it unchanged against the passage of time and preserving all its characteristics. Also, it has excellent slip qualities, thermic impact and frost resistance allowing it to be considered a product of great versatility and making it an ideal product for both commercial and residential outdoor areas from hotels, restaurants and public spaces but also terraces, yards, gardens and pool areas.
Regarding the method of installation, its greater thickness allows three different types of fixing: On the one hand, traditional fixing with adhesives has an extraordinary resistance and strength, which is the reason why it is ideal for outdoor areas where there is high pedestrian usage such as terraces, yards and sidewalks. Dry fixing can be used to easily install the tiles on gravel, over grass and even on sand. This fixing method does not require adhesives so it is quick to install, ecological and has the added advantage to be easy to remove besides being aesthetically very attractive.
Finally, it can also be installed on raised access supports or plots. An advantageous system in applications where easy access to pipes or cable installations are required because the tiles can be lifted and removed individually. In addition, it allows the fixer to even out possible uneven surfaces and facilitates the drainage of water. Spaces and areas can be filled both with character and strength with the new VIVESXtra.
