TIMax® GL system Ug 0,8
Transparent heat insulation from Wacotech
Product description
System Ug 0,8
Considerably-improved U-values can be attained in profiled glass with the Ug 0.8 system by enlarging the space between the panes to 152mm. This is achieved by using two single-layered profiled glass systems set against each other in a distance of 152mm. Two layers of TIMax® GL are used in the Ug 0.8 system, achieving a Ug-value of 0.79W/m²K.
The solar heat gain coefficient (g-value), a measure of sun protection properties, is improved to 0,19. The system also offers optimum light scattering and light distribution into the room.
The facades system Ug 0,8 can also be filled with two layers of the advanced translucent insulation material TIMax® GL-PlusF, achieving a Ug-value of 0,66 W/m²K and a g-value of 0,16.
The valid height of the glass façade depends on the statically dimensioning for single-layered profiled glass systems. In comparison to double-layered profiled glass systems, the valid height is less.
The Ug 0.8 system is not proofed for sports facilities.

Concept
With the translucent insulation materials (TIM) TIMax® GL and TIMax® GL-PlusF double-glazed U-profiled glass facades can be adapted to the modern requirements of room climate, lighting and energy efficiency.
TIMax® GL is a translucent glass fiber insulation material, that enhances the heat insulation (Ug-value) of U-profiled glass facade systems significantly. In addition TIMax® GL reduces the solar heat gain due to incoming sunlight and provides a partial sun protection (low g-value).
TIMax® GL-PlusF has a higher density compared to our standard material TIMax® GL, which results in an even better heat insulation (Ug-value) and improved sun protection (lower g-value).
Due to their strong light scattering properties both TIMax® GL and TIMax® GL-PlusF provide an even illumination of the room, without blending or shading.
