In South Africa they say: “Turn your face to the sun, then shadows will fall behind you.” The low-pile Ilanga carpet – Swahili for sun – is radiant in a deep sunny yellow, made from equal proportions of Tibetan highland wool, fine Chinese silk and nettle fibers.
