Product description
Concept
Austrian artist Erwin Wurm redesigned its renowned “Fat Car” series in a silver sugar box, namely the “Zuccheriera”.
The “Zuccheriera” as a little fat car is a reference with a twinkle in the eye to the golden 16th century vessel “Saliera” that become so famous as one of the biggest art heists of the early 21st century. Like its Renaissance model, the “Zuccheriera” is an eye-catching tableware with a true function, but above all it is an intriguing art object and a genuine expression of its time. The “Zuccheriera” is made of pure silver (940/000) and is entirely hand crafted. The object consists of a body with a flush fitted cover. It is 150 mm in height, 270 to 280 mm in length, 190 to 205 mm wide and it weighs about 1490 to 1690 grams. The production is limited to an edition of only 10.
