Originally crafted in the 1930s by the multi-talented designer Otto Prutscher. A small family of pumpkins is gathered on a scalloped tray. The handles of the teapot and creamer are carved from turned ebony. Renown for his work as an architect and furniture designer at the turn of the 20th Century, Otto Prutscher, remains a highly influential figure in design history. He left behind a wealth of drawings and blue prints for candle sticks, cutlery and tableware accessories which are preserved in the archives at Wiener Silber Manufactur.
