Otto Prutscher – Travel Service

Dinnerware from Wiener Silber Manufactur, Designed by Otto Prutscher

Product description

Otto Prutscher designed what he called his "Travel Service" for the "First Great Austrian Art Exhibition 1947" in Vienna. In formal terms it relates to elegant models from the 1930s: compact forms, oval in plan, integrated lids, highly polished, reflective silver surfaces, which contrast with the volutes of the precious black wood handles. Relaxed details such as silver rivets convey a touch a functionalism.
