Ageing:
A regular maintenance keeps pretty unaltered the colour and the brightness of our exterior solid wood Xilo1934. But you cannot deny the charm of a material that the time and weather have changed for eternity.
Layout:
The boards can be fixed to the backing profiles using on sight stainless steel screws or fixing steel plates. Fixing steel plates make it possible to place the boards closer to one another and, thanks to their particular shape, they can be slightly detached from the backing profile, thus enhancing wood perspiration. The boards are placed on supporting backing profiles fixed to the ground or not, which have to be placed at a distance to be checked during laying, but usually every 30-35 cm at least.
Maintenance:
After the laying:
Since exterior floors do not receive any treatment they need one or two coats of protection oil to be applied soon after the laying.
Weekly and daily cleaning:
Ordinary cleaning is done in order to remove dirt or any other waste as it is necessary.
Maintenance:
Usual maintenance does not require any particular treatment, except a coat of oil, when the previous one is dried by sunlight.
Suggestions:
N.b.: for the maintenance operations see anyway the instructions which accompany the products used.
