Wan
Table lights from Yamagiwa, Designed by Naoto Fukasawa
Product description
Concept
The word "wan" signifies a bowl in Japanese.
Like a bowl, the light sits on the floor or a shelf, indirectly illuminating the ceiling and the wall.
Tha Wan can be placed at an arbitrary angle by shifting its weight, which consists of sand-like iron particles that are enveloped within the Wan shell.
The contour of light at the thick rim of the Wan emits a vague light ring in soft gradation like a snow lantern.
