Tanager
Wall coverings / wallpapers from Zoffany
Product description
Animal prints were popular from the 16th Century and were used when the purchaser could not afford the original item of fur. This pattern is based on a fragment of silk chenie (warp print). The wallpaper also replicates the delicate jaquard woven vertical braided stripes that run at intervals down the length of the silk. The wallpaper is printed by gravure in 5 colourways.
