Product description

Tours is inspired by a brightly coloured green and gold woven silk damask dating from the midnineteenth century. The pattern shows scrolling acanthus leaves with flowers and bunches of quince fruit. Its focal point is a stylised flower with an artichoke centre. Designs like this were popular in Europe from the 1500s onwards being woven in many countries such as Italy France Spain and Britain.
