Rugs from Zollanvari
Product description

Concept
A new line launched in January 2015, the weave quality of these rugs is similar to the ‘Ethos’ line, but the materials used are viscose made from the cellulose pulp of bamboo, banana or other natural materials. Zollanvari have selected a blend of the finest of these fibres. The result is rugs not only made from sustainable and relatively environment-friendly raw materials but also a world apart from the mass-produced viscose lines on the market. ‘Koti’ originates from the manner in which the raw materials are procured. To secure a fairer pricing for the small artisans and producers who sell these materials, trading centres called ‘Kothis’ (large houses) were established for spinners to sell their ‘silk’ at standardised prices.
