Seon, April 2018. – The new OSCAR dining table by Zoom by Mobimex meets the key needs of today’s society: naturalness, durability and sustainability. Its gentle, warm look and the circular table top make it the perfect place for a cordial get-together. Produced from solid wood, the design does justice to the material’s full range of possibilities and allows its unique beauty to unfurl.
OSCAR’s characteristic features are a solid structure and sophisticated details which require a high degree of manual craftsmanship, despite the computer-driven processing technologies in use today. The two designers at WERNER / VAZQUEZ DESIGN STUDIO have developed a restrained, balanced interplay between rounded shapes and precise angles that defines the entire construction: the edge of the table is tapered and feels delightful to the touch, the cross braces are u-shaped and the sloping, angled legs come to an end above solid steel feet and give the table a graceful touch.
The OSCAR table top is supported by a distinctive subframe whose traverse braces, that form the shape of a cross, pierce the slightly conical legs and ensure stability. Each of the formats available offer plenty of legroom thanks to the proportioned substructure.
