A beach house for a family with three children the beach town of Asia, located in the south of Lima, Perú.
What was the brief?
A beach house for a family with three children.
What were the solutions?
The land clearly laid out 2 axes so we made 2 wings. In the ground floor there´s one wing with the kids bedrooms and in front of them is the second wing with the master bedroom and the tv room, they join in the front side and made the social area (living room/dining room/kitchen).
In the first floor we made a terrace for the children over their bedrooms and a terrace with a barbecue zone over the master bedroom/tv room area, they join in the front side creating the pool area, over the dining room/living room. The area between the wings was considered as a patio/corridor which is the access to the two wings and at the same time generates a private space for these, being located in the back of the house.
What were the key challenges?
The program requires a bedroom with their own bathroom for each son and their friends, and an area in the terrace exclusive for them. Key products used: Exposed concrete, concrete slabs, brick partitions and wooden structures. All the floors were made of polished cement and stamped cement.
What building methods were used?
The pool was made of exposed concrete supported by two concrete slabs. All the other divisions were made by brick partitions and wooden structures. 50% of the furniture were made of concrete.
