Office on Kopernika Street

Architects from the Warsaw-based design studio Bran&Pine have created an office space that stands out with its bold combination of classic form and modern accents. The designers paid particular attention to the comfort of the users while also aiming to create a space that would be attractive to potential clients of the development company.

The prestigious location in a luxury residence on the grounds of the former Skarpa cinema, which draws inspiration from interwar modernism, required the project creators to have exceptional commitment to preserving the appropriate spirit of the interior.

The dominant materials in the space are dark veneer and natural marble. They constitute the details of the joinery, which are complemented by a beige carpet and brass accents appearing in the coffered ceiling grid or glass framing. A strong color accent is provided by a distinct navy blue, which appears in areas dedicated to visitors. In this subtle way, the functionality of the space has been emphasized so that its users can intuitively make use of it.

The internal corridor leading to the conference room and open space lacked natural light. Thanks to a modern solution in the form of a mesh ceiling, minimalist lighting fixtures, and the use of glass doors, a moody atmosphere was created. Additionally, this corridor gained prestige thanks to two large-format geometric op-art style paintings by Paweł Wąsowski, which wonderfully complement the classic decorative elements. The square shapes in the artist's paintings enhance the viewer's perceptual distortion, creating an impression of constant movement regardless of where one looks. Thanks to this solution, the narrow corridor gained space and an interesting appearance.

The conference room and office feature ribbed glazing, which provides an ideal solution for business meetings requiring privacy while still allowing natural light to penetrate. Large panels of decorative glass are a reference to modernist architecture in which glass was an integral design element. This form of glazing introduces additional texture to the interior, while also serving as an interesting contrast to the smooth walls and minimalist furniture.

For the investors, art played a significant role, serving not only as a decorative element but also as an intriguing and inspiring cultural accent in the space. Therefore, we can see the glowing sculpture by Marek Bimer, his sketch, and works by Magda Grabowska incorporated into the conference room and office.

Iconic floor lamps placed in various corners of the office provide atmospheric lighting, adding a unique character and ambiance that goes beyond mere technical illumination.
All of this makes the office interior a place where traditional elements harmoniously blend with modern accents, creating a unique and unforgettable space.
