On December 1, 1999 was officially inaugurated the Burj Al Arab. Since then no other hotel in the world has managed to have the media effect of this gigantic sail unfurled over the sea and now, over 15 years later, a new and important element arrives to renew and increase its popularity. The artificial island on which lies this icon Hotel has in fact been extended with a terrace of over 10,000 square meters, which recalls, in the layout, the acclaimed figure of the sail. On the extension, a 612 sq. meters freshwater pool and a saltwater infinity pool of 828 sq.meters, a beach, a series of covered sitting areas and a restaurant: everything has been designed to project an innovative image, with exclusive services and a design of excellence.
Bross is one of the partners selected to give value to this luxury floating platform, built by developer Admares in collaboration with Sigge Architects and Kudos Dsign. Attentive to a crafted finishing on each product and specialized in customization, the Friuli-based company has confirmed with its supply the value of the attention to detail, which dominates the entire project. Scape Restaurant is in fact furnished with Bross chair Hug, designed by Enzo Berti and available in multiple versions.
Hug, whose name evokes a warm embrace, is a comfortable seat that is distinguished by the elegant backrest, finished by a refined quilted upholstery. Selected with a covering in blue leather and black lacquered wooden frame, it perfectly combines the square tables with wooden top and black metal structure of the Jumeirah Terrace restaurant, while an installation of three-dimensional geometric copper shapes turns the ceiling of this area in a precious kaleidoscope.
The delicate balance between decoration and contemporaneity, ‘fil rouge’ of the architectural concept signed by Kudos Dsign, is therefore perfectly interpreted by Bross armchairs, that mix essential forms and ornamental game of stitchings, hand-made, on the inner lining.
