Contours and contrasts
Dittel Architekten has designed a new representative administrative building for around 30 employees of the logistics company ISDB in Friedrichshafen on the shores of Lake Constance. The compact charcoal-colored cube is broken up by framed glass fronts featuring ceiling-high glazing in resolute geometric lines.
The interplay of contrasts is continued inside with transitions from concrete on the floor and ceiling to white expanses and charcoal-colored carpeted zones. In the functional offices, white, custom-made office furniture shapes open working structures. On-grade carpets at reception, in the executive office and open-space areas indicate areas of communication and concentration.
Large room structures and hard surfaces mean attention must be paid to acoustic room optimization. This is why there are carpets in the office areas and conference rooms. CAS Eco Tec by Carpet Concept has particularly good acoustic values. Acoustic effectiveness with CAS enables concentrated working and an ergonomically suitable acoustic quality. The durable flat woven carpet Eco Tec in charcoal harmoniously underscores the interior. Its dynamic structure revitalizes the rooms.
