The canadian post-war architecture is interpreted through a careful study of passive energies.

The Holy Cross contemporary volume fits gracefully in with the surrounding postwar houses of a residential district in Montréal. The project maintained the original geometry of the building, though optimising its energy efficiency. The position of the terrace and of the windows combined with the internal structure, allow the diffusion of the sun light and heat during the winter, and of a natural ventilation in summer.

Sustainability and energy performance are the key aspects of the project. The wooden structure optimises the thermal insulation. The internal staircase allows the circulation of the air. The AISI 316/L stainless steel of the CEA collections, in the kitchen, guarantees an everlasting life and a total recyclability, thanks to the eco-friendly manufacturing process that respect the essence of the material.

The choice of the accessories in the bathroom is driven by the desire to spare water. The CEA tap collections are just one step further, ensuring a remarkable water saving because all the spouts are equipped with aerators and flow limiters.
