There are hundreds of such (abandoned) houses in the Swiss mountains, especially where there are no large mountain railways nearby. Felix Partner architects have discovered such a house in the Albula Valley near Bergün and revived it impressively.
In a construction period of almost 2 years, the house was completely renovated and equipped with a wellness facility in the basement. Access to the property is through the historic portal, where you still have to bend down.
Dade Design was allowed to carry out the kitchen and all wet rooms in this unique and now luxurious property. See for yourself how skilfully Rahel and Peter Felix combine legacy with fancyness. A special highlight is the smokehouse, which has been preserved in its original state!
Every year we carry out several projects on the main ridge of the Alps. Starting in Kitzbühel, all of Tyrol with a focus on St. Anton, South Tyrol to Bolzano, Grisons mountains with a focus on St. Moritz as well as the Valais with a focus on Zermatt (recently Hotel Cervo & Couronne) and the region of Verbier & Crans Montana. Unfortunately, we are not allowed to publish most of these objects, but have no less pleasure in these great assignments.
