Gallery and private residence
Since 1987, the Danish gallery owner Mikael Andersen has been running a gallery with Danish and international contemporary art. In 2007 he opened up another gallery – this time in a closed down brewery in Berlin. After extensive renovation, the building on Prenzlauer Berg now accommodates both a gallery, an artist’s home with studio and the private residence of Mikael Andersen.
The flat clearly reflects the owner’s profound passion for art and design as well as his Danish background.
Wide Dinesen Douglas wooden planks are found throughout. Along with the general style of the interior design, the light and harmonious hardwood flooring with the clean lines form a beautiful and elegant background for the expressive art works that dominate the decor.
