A Danish investment banker’s meeting with top designer Anouska Hempel resulted in this beautifully designed, elegant apartment in central Copenhagen. The code word for the apartment’s design is minimalism. The combination of
Anouska Hempel’s choice of materials and the owner’s decoration has created a pleasant atmosphere. The investment banker was heavily involved throughout the project, and it took more than three years before he could move into his 300 m2 luxury apartment.
Everything is state-of-the-art as the owner of the apartment can control the sound and lighting system by just pressing the remote. Even the curtains from Silent Gliss can be controlled by remote. All the cables and electrics have been hidden away so they do not interfere with the overall design.
The long and wide floorboards from Dinesen create a warm feel to the apartment, complemented by the indirect lighting. The floorboards have also been used for tables, book shelves etc. in the apartment. The kitchen has been specially designed by Anouska Hempel for the Italian company Binova.
