Zoff is a Japanese popular eyewear brand, which introduced low price eyeglass for the first time in Japan. Their business was succeeded for a short time; however, the low-price eyeglass market became competitive with the arrival of competitors with strong brand images. The challenge was to put the design together to develop a solid brand image.
When we start thinking about the concept together with the client, we asked ourselves “What kind of a store do we want to visit? A store which has wide variety of product? Latest trends? Or a store which gives a great customer experience?” Then the word was coming up in my mind: a Supermarket. In Japan, supermarkets are place of excitement and variety. They offer a wide range of goods and groceries; customers know that they can get nearly anything there. We wanted to create a similar image and expectation in the minds of Zoff customers.
A place where they would expect, and be able to enjoy looking at the latest glasses or trend where they were glasses or not. Within the store, we planed a series of supermarket inspired display showcases, such as acrylic ice cube container for seasonal products, basket container like a bread container, and refrigerator showcases with colorful painting.
