Italian Premium Lifestyle Brand FURLA held a presentation of the 2016 Spring Summer collection at Zojoji Temple in Tokyo, where Emmanuelle designed the venue with an installation to give colors to the new collection.
The exhibition was held at the outdoor piloti area, as compared to the last exhibition held inside Zojoji Koshoden. As the guests come through the dark reception area, they are welcomed by a spring blooming world. The installation named "hanami" symbolizes the piloti columns as tree trunks, and created trees with blooming flowers with densely gathered sliced papers in 100 shades of colors. The light filters through the thin papers, giving an impression of natural light filtering through flowers and leaves in the forest. The colorful trees standing dignified, it is almost like arriving to one corner of the park. The geometric design and bold coloration of the new collection are displayed in concert with the colors of the flowers. Display shelves are placed on every tree trunks, for guests to enjoy the new collection under the blooming flowers. Along with the bright fresh installation and the new collection, it became the venue to feel the coming of spring and summer season.
Hanami is a Japanese tradition of welcoming spring, enjoying the transient beauty of flowers often refers to cherry blossom.
