A customized terrazzo to give a dynamic flair to the project
A building developed on four floors inside which is housed an elementary and middle school designed as independent units and a triple sports hall.
For this project, a special blend, SM2029, was developed in collaboration with the architectural firm Krug Grossmann. The terrazzo was made of black Ebony and Carnic Gray marble grits on an anthracite-colored base. An interesting grain scale gives the material a dynamic and distinctive but never overpowering character.
The dark tones of the terrazzo surfaces contrast sharply with the bright colors of the walls and stair railings for an effect with a powerful architectural impact.
The stairs, which also made of the same material as the flooring, were equipped with a contrast strip integrated into the tread, made of 81.20 Weigrey, which gives an optical contrast making the staircase barrier-free.
