Active Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic™ covers the long countertop of Andrea Muccioli and Franco Aliberti’s new 0 km restaurant in Riccione, Ristorante Èvviva.
Èvviva is the name of a new format created by Andrea Muccioli and Franco Aliberti: a 0 km restaurant, bar/espresso bar and pastry shop inspired by an important basic philosophy, "zero waste".
Opened in the old laundry of the Grand Hotel in Riccione, the premises designed by architect Luca Tausani Ferrini reflect Ristorante Èvviva’s ethical philosophy. The thirties style interiors were restored and tables and chairs were built out of reclaimed materials.
The countertop in the restaurant, which plays a key role in the restaurant concept, is made out of Active ceramic tiles by FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti. The appearance of Corten steel, with its pleasant burnished colour, is reproduced in FMG 150x75 cm tiles with a metallic finish, subjected to the Active Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic™ treatment.
These features mean that diners at Ristorante Èvviva will be able to eat their food directly off the Active porcelain tiles of the counter. The oxidation process induced by photocatalysis allows Active to eliminate 99.99% of bacteria by an entirely natural method.
This makes Active ceramic tiles the perfect covering for all surfaces where hygiene is of primary importance.
