Embracing natural materials and a puristic design, the vacation homes "KLEINE BLEIBE" create a haven of tranquility and relaxation. Nestled amidst nature and close to the historic town center, these homes offer panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The central concept: sustainable materials and timeless architecture that seamlessly blends with the region's traditional building style.
Sustainable and Natural Materials
At the heart of this project lies a minimalist design ethos and the use of sustainable building materials. The vision of the builders and architects was clear: to offer vacations in a simple yet environmentally friendly manner. This vision is realized through a solid concrete base, a sleek black wood facade, and the incorporation of light silver fir wood for walls, ceilings, floors, and furnishings.
Silver Fir Solid Wood Planks as Subtle Foundations
Inside, silver fir serves as the cohesive element for the interior design, providing a striking contrast against the black-stained wood facade. The HIRAM Habitat silver fir solid wood planks and matching stair steps are complemented by walls and ceilings crafted from the same wood. The wooden floor and stair have been meticulously treated with white-pigmented lye and white oil to achieve a uniform appearance. The room-length solid wood planks, measuring 300 mm wide, create clean, uninterrupted lines, while the nearly knot-free URBAN Classic grade ensures a serene surface finish.
"The refined yet understated details of the premium materials and the clean aesthetics reflect the peaceful and balanced ambiance one seeks inside," remarked Nils Fröhlich, Architect.
Silver Fir from the Black Forest
HIRAM Habitat specializes in silver fir, a versatile gem from the Black Forest. With its headquarters located in this region, HIRAM Habitat benefits from short transportation routes for sourcing local wood. Through their own roundwood trade, the company has cultivated expertise in silver fir and gained a profound understanding of the region's forests and tree species.
