The structure has the architectural quality of a a solitaire, which is integrated into the existing building in the best possible way. The strongly rhythmicised front, due to the uniform size of the openings with room height glazing, produces a pleasant transparency. The interior building concept allows various office shapes, which is further emphasised by the double floor. In spite of the high occupancy rate, an office concept was compiled which was in line with the various needs of the employees. They decided on a multi space landscape, which is divided into central, noise intensive meeting zones, project rooms, closed retreat rooms and possibilities for concentrated work. External visitors use almost exclusively the ground floor, where apart from the reception, the waiting area and meeting rooms and also an open lounge zone with bordering catering area are located. When designing the rooms and zones, particular importance was placed on light and transparent materials. Separating walls are mostly made of glass, to make the atmosphere as light and spacious as possible.
This chair was selected due to its transparency, which matched the reduced formal expression of each room. Today‘s concentrated office world demands filigree elements. The view through the room height window elements remains guaranteed. The builder placed importance on giving its employees an ergonomic chair in accordance with the most up to date knowledge.
In the Sanitas office building which doesn‘t seem large at all, there are 338 work places. Architects and users decided on the Hero model swivel chair 172H and the matching Hero visitor‘s chair 570H from interstuhl, after extensive discussions. Due to the mesh backs, the extremely diverse Hero models appear very light and fit in excellently with the high quality ambience. Seating comfort is emphasised by an autofit mechanic (automatically adjusts seat and back rest to the weight of the user), a lordosis support and the seat depth adjustment (allow an optimal contact face for the thigh). The Hero visitors chairs are elegant and seem light, they are stackable cantilever chairs with mesh backs and arm rests. Amongst the important aspects such as design, function and economic viability, Hero is an optimal figure at Sanitas and harmonises excellently with the other furniture and fittings.
Hero (Product design: Eckhard Hansen and Gerhard Reichert) is an office chair with everything for everyone. It offers quality for all classes. And apart from the legendary quality, Hero represents a multitude of furnishing possibilities: the swivel chair is available with a net back or cushion, with or without head support, and armrests. The layout of the back is eye catching due to its uniform design: the horizontal stripe pattern seen from the back gives a special finish to the cushion and the mesh. The swivel chair has an autofit mechanism, which automatically adapts the seat and back rest to the body weight. An integrated fine tuner allows you to adjust the seat sensation to your personal requirements (hard, soft). In this way the user is relieved in that he only has to set the seat height, Hero does the rest itself as a real automatic seat.
