Adjacent to the park, Blue Bottle Coffee Minatomirai Cafe has comfortable feel by glass-walled open space and sense of softness from curved lines and wooden materials. By using wood as main material, warm and welcome atmosphere like a symbolic tree in the park is created.
The furniture and café space is finished in harmony with surrounding landscape by design approach that considers the landscape, the space design of the café and the details of the furniture as a single experience.
Under the direction of one of the Karimoku Case Study brand initiators Keiji Ashizawa as lead architect and multidisciplinary Danish design studio Norm Architects, Karimoku realised a bespoke high-end interior with customized wooden furnishings as well as tailor-made furniture for the cafe.
With the completion of the interior with a main focus on the material wood and corresponding wooden furniture, versatile and high-quality craftsmanship and modern, high-end design of Karimoku are demonstrated again.
