Today's Hotel Landhaus Flottbek was once a farm and was built 250 years ago by a Hamburg merchant. Since the hotel moved in in 1994, the restaurant and bar Hygge and the reception have been located in the former horse stable of the property. The new concept for this area is now all about the Danish word HYGGE, which means joy of life and security and spending precious time with family and friends. Space has been created for this attitude to life. Materiality, lighting and form follow the atmosphere and thus create an atmospheric hyggeligen place.
