Ensuring price stability and a balanced economy are two of the main tasks of the European Central Bank. Thus, the ECB in Frankfurt manages the currency of one of the largest international economic areas.
After relocating its headquarters from the Eurotowers to a new building in the Neue Mainzer Straße in 2014, the approximately 2,300 employees now operate from a partially newly built building ensemble. This is made up of three elements: A former wholesale market hall from the 1920s and two polygonal towers, which provide space for 110,000 m² of gross floor area.

Lindner realised the interior fit-out for the new ECB headquarters: In addition to interior facades and metal wall claddings, around 90,000 m² of the Lindner raised and cavity floors were used in the office building. The jointless surface has not only freely selectable surface coverings but offers also optimised acoustics in the office areas. Besides, almost 86,500 m² of heating and cooling ceilings made of metal, plasterboard or custom-made were installed. The ceiling systems thus ensure optimal regulation of the interior temperature. Metal ceilings, customised ceilings and plasterboard wall systems round off the comprehensive package of Lindner systems.
Furthermore, Lindner was responsible for insulation, drywall and steel construction work in the building.
