surfaces an upholstered version: fully upholstered, front side upholstered or seat upholstered.. Leather suits the chair as well and enhances the elegant slim lines of the shell.
The chairs have a high seating comfort and a slim design which is elegant and light - but at the same time distinctive.
Session Relax
In spite of its minimalistic and classic design Session Relax has a surprisingly high seating comfort and various modern features, making it suitable both as a comfortable meeting chair and as an easy chair, as its deliberate construction makes it easy to sit down and get up from the chair. Session Relax is stackable and is available with two heights of back.
Solacia
The Solacia-chair was developed in close cooperation between Gentofte Hospital, end users, Magnus Olesen A/S and designer Lone Storgaard from DESIGN CONCERN.
Gentofte Hospital was not able to find a resting chair that would cover their specific needs and requirements for ergonomic, hygiene, cleaning and aesthetics. Therefore they decided to develop a chair that would fulfill their high demands. The focus has been to create a beautiful chair that could help minimize the feeling of ”illness”. The resting chair is intended for the non-emergency patients. It is ideal for the surgical and medical patients that are not bedbound as it suits their need for an extremely comfortable resting chair when they are out of bed.
The chair is primary designed to be used in the wards but also lobbies and waiting areas. A typical ward is furnished with a bed, a bed table and a resting chair. The resting chair is therefore a very important part of the interior design, and not an isolated object as it relates to both space and the human aspect. Gentofte Hospital strives to create a homely atmosphere in their wards and with its simple design and choice of materials the Solacia resting chair contributes to the homely feeling.
Respect for the surroundings: The hospital has developed a design manual, ensuring an aesthetic continuity in the interior designs in the hospital via the choices of furniture, decoration, colors and materials. The new Solacia easy chair series fits naturally into the interiors of the hospital, both in the wards as well as in the public areas. “You should always feel that you are at Gentofte Hospital as soon as you step inside.”
