Ferrero, the renowned multinational confectionary company, wanted to create a new Headquarters in Luxembourg, a new Italian home for its 1400 employees coming from 51 different nations. An international call for tenders was launched in 2015 for the Casa Ferrero project, won by the Paris-based studio, Lonsdale. After 5 years of intensive research and repeated visits to Ferrero’s historical site in Alba, the new structure was opened in 2020, a multi-functional complex of 12 floors and almost 30,000 sq.m.
The new Headquarters contains offices, conference rooms, restaurants, recreational areas, gyms and company car parks to cater for Ferrero’s staff at all times of the day.

An Italian atmosphere and Ferrero’s values are all-pervading; every environment has been designed to encourage sociability and stimulate creativity. The architecture developed by the Perry Weber & Associé studio presents an impressive main entrance, the Golden Gate, giving direct access to the enormous central Square, the heart of Casa Ferrero, where there is most traffic and which is overlooked by all the wide windows and coloured internal structures.

All the catering facilities are on the ground floor: 4 restaurants and 1 bar, designed to accommodate the numerous Ferraro employees and offer a different experience and type of food every day. Marco Corona Made in Italy ceramics have been chosen to lend these strategic and much-frequented spaces character, comfort and functionality.

Each restaurant is characterised by an Italian name and has its own style, with atmospheres, furnishings and materials studied ad hoc. The Giardino area has sofas in the Italian colours, furnished in wood, sinuous spot lights and luxurious greenery. Prestige wood-effect ceramics are used for the floors, chosen in the Brown tone to liven up the entire area.
The Presto restaurant, instead, offers a more rapid pause and a more minimal design, with wooden tables and high stools. In this self-service and heavily used canteen, it has been decided to opt again for easy-to-clean, resistant and non-absorbent Prestige wood-effect stoneware, this time in the bright Beige hue. For a lunch characterised by wellbeing and calm, guests can, instead, choose Fresco: the atmosphere is welcoming, light and amenable, thanks to brick coverings in white tones, bucket seats with a Nordic taste and authentic concrete-effect stoneware floors, Street ceramics to be precise; surfaces with neutral colours and delicate material details.

Every Casa Ferrero environment has been designed with maximum attention to details, with the objective of ensuring maximum comfort and wellbeing for its guests throughout the working day.
