DE CANDIDO EXPRESS SUPERMARKET: An origami as a free standing
De Candido Express supermarket stands in Bella Vista Avenue, one of the most commercial of Maracaibo (2,2Mhab); the attributes of the brand De Candido such as simplicity, softness firmly versatility to changing contexts and continuity, was also attributed to the building.
Precisely that continuity is sought in the architecture of the De Candido Express to set position and differentiate themselves from the conventional architecture of free-standing buildings, which are constructed by separating the deck of the vertical walls and the floor plan, and away from the street.
For it resorted to the technique of origami, in its simplicity, softness firmly enclosures continuity and replicability, versatile to changing contexts. In the origami continuity of matter is de rigueur; in this case a sandwich sheet of pre-painted galvanized steel blank for obtaining from an initial square rectangular base manufacturing folded simple models to highly complex was used.
