This is a 4th floor flat situated in Almagro, one of the 19th Century's most elegant neighbourhoods in Madrid; a classical building with three balconies to the street and two interior patios.
Here, we propose an open distribution with the kitchen-dining room in the middle that separates 2 areas - living room and bedrooms.
We can describe our architectural intervention in Blanca de Navarra with three words:
- Contemporary: an open distribution with flexible spaces and clean lines.
- Classical: we support the classical lines of the building including the mirror from the 18th Century and the Greek head sculpt.
- Warmth: we use natural materials like wood, textile doors and artisanal and imperfect walls in plaster finishing.
This latter concept is very close to the most important one - calmness. Silence is the dialog between similar colour materials.
