Frederick’s is a drinking and dining destination that is housed in an historic building that was once a venue that added excitement to the Belle Epoque scene; formerly the Hotel Esplanade, and now part of the renowned Sony Centre, Frederick’s is helping to continue the building’s role in history.

The main aim of the dramatic renovation of the interiors of this building in the heart of Berlin, is to create a fusion of old and new and present this as the visual message throughout. Designer Robert Angell honoured the location’s heritage and architecture, whilst bringing it into the modern world. The Belle Epoque architectural style is beautifully in contrast with murals from Berlin artists and many heritage aspects have been restored or enhanced, with new artwork, furniture and lighting that combines industrial aesthetic with bohemian glamour.

We took part in this project, working alongside Robert Angell Design International and Rhubarb Hospitality Collection to help achieve an updated, contemporary relaxed vibe.

Working on Berlin’s largest bar, has been our most comprehensive F&B project in Germany to date; we worked on loose & fixed furniture, banquettes, and joinery. Basically, anything other than the ceiling, flooring and lighting, we took on, manufactured and built, helping the space come into the modern world in a timeless and unique way.

Being part of innovation in interiors, and extending the heritage of a building truly touches our hearts, being a 3rd generation family business ourselves.
