Project Gallery Nedbalka was executed by the lighting consultant UniLight in 2012 and completed in 2013 using Reggiani Lighting fixtures as the first LED project for gallery premises in Slovakia
GALLERY NEDBALKA is situated on a street, which belongs to the oldest ones in Bratislava, built on old city walls from the 13th to 15th century. In terms of architecture and history, it was one of the most interesting streets of the historical core of the Old Town, even at the beginning of the 20th century.
GALLERY belongs to the most beautiful buildings of its type in Slovakia. Renowned architects Viktória Cvengrošová and Virgil Droppa have been awarded the Dušan Jurkovič prize for the architectural solution and finishing of the building first project, where the gallery currently resides. In 2012, a complete reconstruction was carried out, under the supervision of Ing. Arch. Jarmila Kusa.
The exhibited pieces (more than 500 pieces, 160 exhibited paintings and sculptures on permanent display from 46 renowned Slovak artists and more than 20 pieces on permanent display returned from abroad to Slovakia), are situated on the surface area of 1 529 m².
493 TOP MODERN LIGHTINGS from the producer REGGIANI (represented by UNI LIGHT in the Slovak and Czech market) have been installed to enable a comfortable perception of the exhibited art pieces.
The art pieces are lightened by LED lighting fixtures, Bisio recessed adjustable downlight and Sunluce track projector, which emit neutral white light. Miled recessed fixed downlight was used for common areas as restaurants and lounge. Unilight used the medium angle beam 30° for the different sculptures and the wider one 52° for paintings. The used technology reduces the electric energy consumption by 72 %.
