Two hundred Rexa Design Corian “Unico” bathtubs (180 x 85 cm) have been used to furnish the Mamilla Hotel in Jerusalem, one of the most prestigious and elegant accommodation structures to be built in recent years. The Alrov Mamilla Hotel and Spa in the heart of Jerusalem is the brainwave of Piero Lissoni and Moshe Safdie.
The Mamilla Hotel is an extraordinary place characterized by both style and exclusivity. The contemporary interior design, created by Piero Lissoni, combines elegance and simplicity with scintillating lighting, intense textures and warm colors to stimulate the imagination.
In the lobby, the two parts of the hotel are joined together by a steel plate stairway: one section has been newly built and the other rebuilt using stones found on site. Behind the reception is an impressive wall made of local stone which has also been used for the walls in the living room that are decorated with ancient objects from Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Milan.
All the rooms have natural wood floors, Jerusalem stone walls, dark metal headboards and transparent white curtains.
The liquid crystal walls in the bathrooms become opaque at the touch of a switch, concealing luxurious bathroom areas with waterfall showers and separate shower cubicles.
