From the time that the person is in good health, I am aiming for a place that gathers health themes. It is not the appearance of a common pharmacy just to receive medicine, but the image of places where we can get a lot of knowledge about health which is close to living is done. (I am imagining a concierge that can provide a lot of information about health related to living, not just the appearance of a common pharmacy such as receiving medicine.) As knowledge and wisdom, by talking through individual conversations and frequent lectures such as medicine, as well as food and dietary nutrition, care in everyday life, healthy living secrets, etc.
I want to make it a place that I can return to a healthy life of people. The location is located in a residential area near the station of the regional station. This pharmacy was built on the first floor of the building, facing the road. People in the town have a small diameter leading to the station. As the building was a beautiful concrete structure, I thought about the composition that makes use of it. I inserted the space that needs to be closed functionally into the large space of concrete as the space made of the tree of the minimum size.
The surplus space other than the space of the tree is used as a place for waiting and lecture. Also, apart from the main entrance, we have a single back door, and when the infectious diseases become popular, we have a system that allows us to divide the waiting into two. Copper, paulownia or kakishibu is adopted as a finishing material for places where people are likely to come into contact frequently. Both have high bactericidal action and play a role in purifying the space. In the forest, the substance (phytoncide) that the plant himself made is purifying the forest and keeping the forest refreshing.
In a large concrete space, a wooden box arranged in a nested manner is considered to be a symbolic presence that will play a self-cleaning effect in this pharmacy, like plants in the forest It is. On the other hand, phytoncide has become scientifically apparent as good for the body. Stabilize the mind, normalize breathing, bring comfortable sleep, improve liver function etc ... It is known that the mind and body will lead to deep relaxation.
Soft light, fragrance of wood, sounds heard slightly if you listen carefully, space to calm down, moderate information ... I wanted to link the pharmacy with an environment similar to the comfort and exhilaration that I feel when entering the forest. This pharmacy imagines the inside of the forest. In such a space like in the forest, a talk session about health is held today.
