Villeroy & Boch in Modern Serenity suite at Radisson Blu Frankfurt
As a supplier for international projects, Villeroy & Boch offers coordinated bathroom solutions – as illustrated at the Radisson Blu designer hotel in Frankfurt am Main.
Following its positive reception last year, the architect’s office JOI-Design, which specialises in hospitality design, has once again created exclusive suites for the Radisson Blu hotel chain in collaboration with the magazine Wohnidee. The spacious bathroom and separate WC in the Modern Serenity suite are fitted with high-quality sanitary products and tiles from Villeroy & Boch.
As one of the leading hotel brands in the world, Radisson Blu has almost 300 hotels in sixty-nine countries, for preference in top locations in large cities, at airports and holiday destinations. The Radisson Blu Hotel Frankfurt combines distinctive architecture with designs by John Seifert, Adam Tihany and Matteo Thun.
Modern comfort in soft forms and colours
The new Modern Serenity suite has a spacious living room and bedroom, a dining area with small pantry kitchen, a separate guest WC and a large bathroom. The interior design combines clear forms with soft pastel colours and light wood to create an easy, relaxed atmosphere. Furniture stands solidly on graceful legs, and grained floorboards underscore the comfortable modern atmosphere. The somewhat darker colours in the bedroom are tone-in-tone and offer a discreet change of mood. A makeup table, which can be folded to form a writing desk or storage space, marks the transition from the sleeping area to the wellness bathroom, whose glass sliding door allows natural daylight to enter.
Generous elegance in the bathroom
The centrepiece in the bathroom is the free-standing Quaryl® Squaro Edge 12 bathtub from Villeroy & Boch. It has very thin sides and a dual-colour look: gleaming white on the inside and Coal Black panelling on the outside, matching the clear elegance of a room, achieved through the combination of Basalt and Smoke Grey wall tiles from the Villeroy & Boch Creative System 4.0 range and medium-grey concrete-look porcelain stoneware floor tiles from the X-Plane range.
Intelligent details in the guest WC
The separate guest WC is notable for its intelligent design details: the decorative strip on the tiled storage area takes up the warm copper tone of the handle rail on the sleek vanity unit which, like the large washbasin and wall-mounted rimless DirectFlush toilet, come from the Villeroy & Boch Venticello bathroom collection. The fine Stone Grey cabinet harmonises nicely with the rectangular wall tiles in the subdued colours White Polar and Frozen Lake and the light grey porcelain stoneware floor tiles. The high-gloss nonvitreous wall tiles in the fashionable 20 x 60 cm format from the Creative System 4.0 range, which won the Rat für Formgebung ICONIC AWARD 2017: Interior Innovations prize in January 2017, provide the finishing touch and give the room added breadth.
