Vallo Sadovsky Architects

Vallo Sadovsky Architects was founded in 2004 by architects Matúš Vallo and Oliver Sadovský in Bratislava, Slovakia. In less than ten years the practice has developed a large portfolio of diverse project types, ranging from architecture to urban planning, as well as interior design, exhibition design, and furniture.

VSA’s work also runs the gamut from ground-up new construction, to adaptive re-use, to ‘intervention’. VSA offers a strong fundamental understanding of the social impact of architecture and have developed a parallel practice of pro bono, socially oriented ‘interventions’- civic associantion “We are the city“, aimed at bettering the city’s under-funded public spaces.

Ing. arch. MATÚŠ VALLO

Matúš Vallo is the co-founder of the Vallo Sadovsky Architects studio. He holds a master’s degree in architecture fromthe Faculty of architecture Slovak University of Technology. In 2010, he took part in a research stay on Architectural Activism at Columbia University in New York City as a Fulbright Scholar.

He is also the co-founder and President of “We are the city”, a nonprofit organization focusing on contemporary urban space and rejuvenation of urban environment through social, architectural and community involvement and participation. Previously he worked as an architectural assistant at Adjaye Associates in London. He is a member of the Para band and lives in Bratislava, Slovakia.

Ing. arch. OLIVER SADOVSKÝ

Oliver Sadovský is the co-founder of the Vallo Sadovsky Architects studio. He holds a master’s degree in architecture from the Faculty of architecture- Slovak University of Technology. He has also worked as an architectural assistant at Bosch Architects based in Amsterdam.

He is the co-founder of “We are the city”, a nonprofit organization focusing on contemporary urban space and rejuvenation of urban environment through social, architectural and community involvement and participation. He is a member of the Para band and lives in Bratislava, Slovakia.
