×Energy generation: 120% climate-neutral electricity
Aeris has been on the path to a sustainable future for almost two decades. As early as 2007, the company opted for solar energy at its production site in Horgau, which was still an unusual idea at the time. In 2013 and 2023, these efforts were expanded with additional state-of-the-art photovoltaic systems. Today, Aeris produces far more energy than the company needs and feeds the surplus into the public grid to supply additional households. The headquarters in Haar is also powered entirely by renewable energy, sending a strong signal for a sustainable and innovative future.

×Material cycle: recycled and recyclable materials
Aeris products consist largely of recyclable components and utilise many recycled materials. For example, cover fabrics made from 100% post-consumer polyester are used for many products. Two-thirds of the classic Aeris Swopper office chair is already made from recycled materials. The company's aim is to increase this proportion to 100% and thus take a further step towards an environmentally conscious future. To achieve this, Aeris invests heavily in research and development and works closely with its partners to realise pioneering and sustainable innovations and processes.

×Resource efficiency: resource-saving packaging solutions
When transporting goods, the family-run company consistently favours the reuse of load carriers. Aeris packaging consists of 76% recycled paper. Only water-based printing inks and corn starch are used as glue for the corrugated cardboard, making Aeris packaging theoretically edible. In addition, the office furniture manufacturer from Bavaria is working hard to eliminate all plastic packaging.

×Product cycle: longevity through 'hand-made in Germany'
Aeris clearly positions itself against fast furniture and a throwaway society. The company attaches great importance to the durability and reparability of its products. Every Aeris product is handmade in Germany and subject to strict quality controls. Almost every part of an Aeris product can be repaired or replaced, ensuring real added value for owners for many years to come.

×Supply chain: regional and certified suppliers
Aeris ensures that its partners and suppliers also adhere to strict sustainability standards. Eighty percent of Aeris suppliers are based in Germany, with 53% of them located in Bavaria. These regional partnerships enable shorter transport routes and therefore lower CO2 emissions. Many of the suppliers have also been awarded environmental certificates, which supports the sustainable orientation of the entire value chain.
