דWe’ve never spent so much time in the kitchen as we do today. Whether it’s with friends or family – the modern kitchen is people’s favourite gathering place,” says Poggenpohl’s managing director Gernot Mang. And with such a big audience, it goes without saying that every single thing in the kitchen has to be right! The groundwork for that is laid by the top experts at Poggenpohl’s more than 450 studios around the world. Highly trained interior designers combine straightforward functions with the elegance of premium materials to create a designer kitchen that’s perfectly tailored to the customer’s every want and need: luxury made in Germany!

דIndividuality isn’t a challenge for our production, it’s a matter of course,” says Mang. All the wood processed at the company’s headquarters in Herford is sourced from sustainably managed forests, and all the paints and lacquers used for the fronts, shelves and backs are solvent-free. “We’re constantly setting new standards in every respect.” And the same was true back in 1960, when Poggenpohl caused a revolution with the first freestanding kitchen island. Now, in keeping with today’s open floor plans, the kitchen has opened up to the living area.
One special new development demonstrates the full extent of Poggenpohl’s design expertise and makes the cabinets irresistible to the touch. With +Segmento Y, the Herford firm is claiming new price territory while simultaneously presenting an innovative surface finish. An intriguing detail: the surfaces have a velvety-soft feel, and thanks to their special properties the user can’t leave any fingerprints on them. An exquisite ingredient for a kitchen that has everything it takes to become a firm favourite!
