×Their furniture is a promise. A promise of something special. For more than 30 years, Cabinet has been making bespoke interior solutions in artisanal quality. "The customer's individual wishes and needs are our guiding principle," says Julia Greven, daughter of Cabinet's founder Michael Greven, in summary of the firm's philosophy. She runs the company together with Jens Leyrer and Frank Nowicki. It is a firm with many years of tradition – and a love of craftsmanship seems to run in the family: "My father's side of the family set up its own timber merchant business in Cologne back in 1838," explains Julia Greven.
Absolute precision: the interior fittings leave nothing to be desired. When storage space is used as systematically as this, keeping order is fun

×And it was her father who laid the foundations of Cabinet. During his business trips through North America, the timber merchant discovered a storage space solution that was totally new to Germany at the time: floor-to-ceiling sliding doors mounted on tracks. Michael Greven soon realised what an incredible amount of creative scope this system offered: even the smallest alcove could be transformed into useful storage space.
Today – more than 30 years later – Cabinet has refined and perfected the sliding door system to such an extent that anything really is possible. Cabinet works wonders, creating solutions big and small anywhere in the home: a built-in cabinet in the living room, a miraculously spacious storage solution for the kitchen, a room divider between the two or a guardian of order in the bedroom. Regardless of which room the cabinet is made for, the highly motivated and experienced on-site production team in Kerpen-Buir always ensures it is crafted precisely to customer requirements – right down to the last millimetre.
Unmistakable: whether they're in Germany, Benelux, Austria, Switzerland or Turkey, Cabinet stores stand out

×Most of its staff and retailers have been part of the Cabinet team for many years and are therefore absolute specialists in their field. The production team uses both traditional and modern, high-tech processes to guarantee the consistently high quality standard of the hand-produced furniture.
A demanding challenge! Especially in view of Cabinet's huge product range: starting with the functional frames – eight different systems are available – the sliding doors can be supplied in a wide variety of different materials. Depending on tastes, the surfaces of the doors can be finished with wood, wallpaper, fabric, decorative foils, bamboo, veneers, wickerwork and many other options.

×Cabinet produces glass doors too – in any colour imaginable or printed with a motif provided by the customer. The possibilities are endless – and magnificent. The interior system provides everything the heart could wish for too, from self-closing drawers and glass-edged shelves all the way to a garment lift and pull-out shoe shelf.
With all this attention to detail, it comes as no surprise that Cabinet pioneers new ideas time and time again. "CABImedia" represents the pinnacle of its technical ingenuity – at least for the time being. At the push of a button, the sliding door turns into a television or a gateway to the world wide web! The technology disappears into the cabinet, the speakers into the frame upright. Customers can expect many a new pioneering development from Cabinet in future too. That's a promise! EB
