×An indisputable protagonist of design history, Charlotte Perriand has defined an innovative art de vivre et d’habiter, in clear contrast to the traditional design codes of the day. Today, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Charlotte Perriand Collection, Cassina pays tribute to her work with an exclusive selection of never mass-produced models and previously unseen versions of icons already in catalogue.

×The stories of Perriand and Cassina have intertwined on many occasions. In 1964, Cassina acquired the exclusive world rights to mass-produce the first four models designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, setting in motion the in-depth philological process to create what is known today as the Cassina iMaestri Collection. In 2004, in close collaboration with Pernette Perriand-Barsac, her daughter and sole heir, Cassina presented the Charlotte Perriand Collection to provide an ample and comprehensive view of the designer’s work.
Cassina gives shape to the iconic Indochine chaise longue, first designed in rattan, crafting its structure in painted tubular metal and, with a focus on circularity, using innovative materials in the upholstered parts. The Table Montparnasse of 1938, part of the famous ‘en forme libre’ table series and never officially marketed, is now revealed in two types of wood with matte finish.

×Cassina also presents a 30-piece limited edition of the Ventaglio table, a celebrated icon of the iMaestri collection. It preserves the skilful construction technique, yet is proposed in a new natural Canaletto walnut finish and made with three square legs that revisit Perriand’s original design. Cassina also pays tribute to another timeless icon, with a new range of finishes for the Rio low table, and presents the Vase à fleurs échancré for the first time ever from sketches designed by Charlotte Perriand Japan.
