‘New Work’ describes not so much a state of affairs as a process of change that entails new tasks as well as changing demands on places of work, which is why it is crucial to react creatively.
A well-designed environment encourages creative processes and innovative ways of thinking. The Dauphin HumanDesign Group has therefore developed the ‘Dauphin Workheart’ concept as a guideline for contemporary interior design

×Among office visionaries and planners, but also among employers who inevitably have to deal with the form and function of their premises, numerous terms are currently buzzing around: mobile working, remote working, home office, new work, hybrid, agile and also activity-based working. The list goes on. The bottom line, however, is that there are exactly two questions behind all of this: How can creative processes and innovative ways of thinking be fostered? And how can qualified and motivated employees be recruited and retained in the long term?
Individual freedom is one of the top priorities when it comes to the needs of employees. The motto is: Yes to working together, but at a level of intensity that you choose yourself!

×The simple answer is to create an environment of togetherness in which the individual can freely develop his or her strengths. This includes cleverly designed offices as well as a functioning interface with colleagues who work from home or on the road from time to time. And not just in hip city start-ups or listed companies, but also in small and medium-sized enterprises – the economic engine (in Germany, at least) of society and the workplace of around 60% of all employees.

×New Work in transition
Of course, efficiency also plays a role. If only because the personnel issue is so urgent and because time, as we all know, is precious. But let's focus on something that is less measurable in terms of figures – and on a company that was already on the trail of these burning issues almost ten years ago, namely the Dauphin HumanDesign Group and its ‘Dauphin Solutions’, a concept for ‘Activity Based Work’. This concept has also provided small and medium-sized companies with important insights into office design that could be implemented at a manageable cost. A lot has happened since then. ‘So it was time to take a critical look at our concept,’ says the group, which includes the brands Dauphin, Trendoffice, Züco, Bosse and Dauphin Home.

×Their joint new response is euphoniously called ‘Dauphin Workheart’. In the age of hybrid working models, the office becomes the physical heart of a company, the anchor that creates identification, including all kinds of humanity.
