×It is a truth universally acknowledged, that the architect is always right. Okay, maybe it’s the customer. Or maybe, as Gaggenau believes, it is both. The 340-year-old kitchen appliance maker is on a mission to confidently tread the line between functionality and beauty, never compromising on either, so that its products thrill the end user with innovation and ergonomics while the architect is seduced by an unprecedented economy of form.

×A kitchen brand catering to architects
Of course, architects are end users and customers may have a Pawson-esque design vision, but the point is, Gaggenau not only considers the end customer, but also the architect in everything from the very design of its product to the wrap-around service it offers.

×Flagship showrooms conceived by and for design professionals
Located within the design community, and in buildings with a story, Gaggenau’s newest Flagship showrooms aim to capture local culture and vernacular, working these into the fabric of the space in a way that engages design-aware audiences. It’s the architect’s approach, most recently seen at play in Sydney, Australia, where design cues are drawn from the surrounding area and materiality and tone cleverly employed to connect the Gaggenau story to this new locale.

Within the space, kitchen installations are conceived to inspire fresh ideas with new layouts and materials showcasing the ease with which appliances seamlessly and discretely integrate. Practically the process is supported with live presentations, culinary demonstrations, and a room set aside for consultation and planning.
