So that their captivating designs can also be enjoyed in bathrooms and spa areas, GLAMORA has developed the robust yet beautiful waterproof material GlamFusion.

×Glamora’s reputation for spectacularly decorative wallcoverings shouldn’t detract from the importance its research and development team places on science and technology. One of its most inventive materials is GlamFusion (pending Trademark), a highly durable, waterproof wallcovering which can be used in any wet or damp parts of buildings, from domestic bathrooms to health spas.
GlamFusion has all the qualities and delicacy of domestic wallpaper – lightweight, supple and easy to install – yet it’s robust: it’s not only water-resistant but doesn’t rip and withstands damage wreaked by chemicals, heat and wear and tear. It is hygienic, easy to clean, scratch-resistant and requires no extra waterproofing.
GlamFusion is highly robust – it withstands damage from chemicals, is scratch-resistant, easy to clean and doesn’t tear. It can be easily laid over existing surfaces thanks to its super-fine thickness

×The wallcovering’s super-fine, 0.4mm thickness allows it to be laid over existing surfaces (after sanding). By moulding itself closely over any contour, it obviates the need to remove layers beneath, saving time and money into the bargain. Not that GlamFusion prioritises such workaday considerations over aesthetics: it has a silky texture and comes in vivid hues redolent of encaustic painting, a technique invented by the ancient Greeks, which fused pigments with hot wax, resulting in a jewel-bright surface.
In short, GlamFusion – which this year received the German Design Award in the Materials and Surfaces category – proves there’s no reason why bathrooms should be denied the luxury of beautiful, tactile wallcoverings.
